Subjective Symptoms of Musculoskeletal Disorder of Beauty Industry Workers

Abstract

|
|
Subjective symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders by the body part, ¡®shoulders¡¯ was the highest, followed by ¡®neck¡¯, ¡®wrist/fingers¡¯, ¡®lower back¡¯, ¡®feet/ankles¡¯, ¡®knees¡¯ and ¡®arms/elbows¡¯ in terms of the severity of pain. According to analysis on musculoskeletal disorders by demographic characteristics, ¡®shoulders¡¯ were most responded in all regions (Yeongnam, Gangwon, Honam, Capital area, Chungcheong). On musculoskeletal symptoms by job characteristics, ¡®shoulders¡¯ were the highest, followed by ¡®neck¡¯ in terms of the severity of pain in hair. In skin, ¡®shoulders¡¯ were the highest, followed by ¡®wrist/fingers¡¯. In makeup and nail art, ¡®shoulders¡¯ were the highest, followed by ¡®neck¡¯. According to analysis on correlations between job stress factors and musculoskeletal symptom variables, the musculoskeletal symptoms revealed a positive relationship with ¡®lack of skills¡¯, ¡®conflict with supervisor¡¯ and ¡®work limit¡¯.
